Two of Chalices CLICK FOR DETAIL |
Two of Chalices |
|
The Two of Chalices represents making a connection, the joining of two, working together, sharing, joining forces, a marriage or union--either romantic or a very close friendship. The Two of Chalices also represents healing a marred relationship, making amends, or compromise where there was once disagreement. The imagery in this particular card depicts a woman during a moon ritual, connecting with the power of the Goddess and the power within herself. The Lotus flower, a symbol of rebirth and metamorphosis, lay at her feet, supporting her, as roses grow from the two chalices, bloom, and become entwined as one at her center. Two dragonflies flutter in the night sky, helping us to let go of any delusions that limit our growth, bringing forth transformation and renewal. |

The Ace of Chalices CLICK FOR DETAIL |
The Ace of Chalices |
|
The Ace of Chalices represents getting in touch with your emotional side, opening up to others, listening to your heart instead of your head and trusting your instincts. It represents taking an emotional journey, a new romantic relationship, a change or deeper commitment in an existing relationship, or possibly a friendship taking a more intimate turn. The Ace of Chalices can be a card of making amends with a loved one, or opening up to the possibility of love and relationships, especially after a period of withdrawal, or resistance. The chalice in this card is filled with many wonders--sort of a Pandora's Box of emotions. Some feelings may be delightful and welcome, and others may be frightening to face, as these strong emotions may leave some feeling helpless and vulnerable. The Ace in Tarot always represents change--something new. Chalices are represented by the element of water. Some of the imagery depicted in this card will carry through the suit of Chalices--Butterflies, as symbols of freedom, abandon, and transformation, dragonflies as creatures of change, illusion, magick, water and air. Lotus flowers, or water lilies, for renewal and rebirth, and red roses as traditional symbols of growth, love, and passion. |
